Guerlain Chicherit

Guerlain Chicherit

Born and raised in Tignes, France, an incredibly snow-dependable skiing resort due to the Grande Motte glacier, Guerlain Chicherit quickly became known as an extremely determined, energetic and committed rider on the slopes.

He went on to win 4 World titles in Free skiing, one of the world’s most dangerous and demanding sporting disciplines, becoming a well-known name in the sport and even had one of the most challenging off-piste routes in Tignes named after him.

After winning his fourth world title in free skiing, Chicherit decided to try his hand at motor sports instead, throwing himself into rally driving to start. He won the French Rally Cup, the 2009 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup, as well as several stages of the Dakar Rally, which, known as the toughest endurance rally in the world, Guerlain has raced 10 times now.

As a stunt driver, he pushed the limits of precision and determination to complete the world’s first unassisted backflip in a car, in February 2013. The following year, he wowed the world with his
attempted world’s longest car jump, which he spectacularly crashed, but somehow walked away unscathed.

2015 saw Guerlain make is debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, to which he returned in 2016 and 2017, entering selected events before entering the 2018 season with a bespoke 2-car Renault Mégane Team, GC Kompetition. 2019 sees Chicherit enter the FIA World Rallycross Championship with 2 teams of 2 cars each, having entered the Championship racing 2 Renault Megane R.S.RX alongside Swedish Rallycross driver Anton Marklund for team GC Kompetition while also debuting GCK Academy, a team founded to nurture and further young rallycross talent, which will see Frenchman Cyril Raymond and Guillaume de Ridder from Belgium with an opportunity to compete on the world stage in 2 Renault Clio R.S. RX.
