First Malaysian rider to access MotoGP, Hafizh Syahrin started with the pocket bike before making his debut in the Asian championship. In 2012, he raced in Moto2 in the Spanish Championship and stood out by making it to the podium at the Malaysian Grand Prix with a wild card. He had to wait until 2014 to become a permanent rider in the Moto2 World Championship. He scored points regularly and made it to the podium twice in 2017. A progression that allowed him to access the MotoGP in 2018 with the Tech 3 team riding a Yamaha. He is continuing this year with the French team, but now riding a factory KTM.

After almost taking the title of champion of Spain in 2009 and 2010, Miguel Oliveira started in Moto3 Grand Prix full time in 2012 with the team Estrella Galicia 0,0. He quickly made it to the podium before flying the flag of the Indian manufacturer Mahindra. Recruited in 2015 by the Ajo KTM team, the Portuguese rider scored his first two wins at Mugello and Assen before breaking his wrist. He nonetheless finished the season that year as vice-world champion before moving to Moto2. After a difficult start in the intermediate class, Oliveira hang on and in 2017 became a candidate for the title. He finally finished third with six wins. Vice-champion of the world in 2018, this year he'll be learning all about the MotoGP championship with the KTM Tech 3 team.
