Marco Sørensen’s career in motor racing began in karting. Between 2007 and 2015, he then progressed through the ranks of single-seater racing, peaking in the GP2 championship.

He made his endurance debut in 2015, going on to win the LMGTE Pro category of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2016 alongside Nicki Thiim for Aston Martin Racing. He is the current leader of the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship in the GTE Pro class.
