There is growing interest in electric for motorsports and motorbikes are following this trend as well. Dorna Sports, the MotoGP promoter, launched the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup in 2019. Like a testing ground for the future of motorcycle track racing, the private teams compete in five races at three European tracks with one dedicated bike, the Energica Ego Corsa, developed by the Italian manufacturer Energica Motor Company. Aligned with the MotoGP calendar, MotoE is now the fourth Championship to be held simultaneously.

MotoE: a step towards the future

In line with the TOTAL Group’s ambitions to become a major player for responsible energy and achieve carbon neutral status by 2050, being part of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup is an opportunity for the Group to once again set out its commitment and use this new testing ground as a laboratory for developing its R&D.
